Healing is a natural process of restoring health to any dis-eased or damaged living being. It has been practised for thousands of years in all ancient civilisations. Unlike Western medicine, it addresses all aspects of the healee not just the presenting symptoms. Healing modalities such as Reiki can be delivered by lightly touching the recipient’s body or holding the hands slightly above the body. Other forms of healing such as Acupuncture uses needles, but at the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter which type of healing someone chooses to have, they’re all removing blockages, balancing energy and encouraging self-healing.Read more
As we know, we have a physical anatomy but we also have an energy anatomy. Its more commonly referred to as our aura, or the bio-field that surrounds us. There are seven major chakra systems and several minor ones in the body. We also have subtle energies that are known as our emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. It’s much more difficult to scientifically measure these subtle energies but we know they exist and now accept that they influence our physical, emotional and mental health. Life experiences, trauma, illness and our reactions to the events in our lives, often result in energy imbalances that result in dis-eases within the body. This causes the chakras to go out of balance and in turn weakens our auric field, this could result in the manifestation of physical and emotional illnesses.
Healing can be very beneficial and effective in helping to prevent ill-health and assist in improving well-being both physically and emotionally for us and our pets. It can be used in conjunction with other complementary therapies or alongside medical treatment. One of the main differences between animals and humans is animals don’t relive stressful events over and over again. Its widely known that people can influence the outcomes of interventions due to their expectations about the results but our animals don’t have expectations and therefore favourably respond to healing without interfering in the process.
The relationship we have with our pets is very special. They love us unconditionally and ask for very little in return. Animals transmute stressful energy; studies have shown that’s why people with pets generally live healthier lives. Our pets mirror our consciousness and our environment and can develop the same symptoms as us. They may develop a condition to heighten our awareness of something that needs addressed in our lives. If we take the time to quieten our mind and relax we will see that our pets teach us to lose our attachment to expected outcomes and simply live in the present moment. They don’t worry about yesterday or tomorrow and they increase our capacity for love and joy. Our animal companions can help us learn about our life’s purpose if we decide to listen.
